Can other filler products be used along with Radiesse?
Restylane, Juvederm, Cosmoderm or other dermal fillers may be used as layers to fill the more superficial lines and wrinkles. There is no restriction to using additonal fillers.

Recovery time after Radiesse injection is only minutes to hours. The most common complications are temporary redness and bruising. It is our opinion that Radiesse not be used in the lips, due to the potential for lumps when used in that area.

Radiesse®

What is Radiesse®?
Radiesse consists of calcium hydroxylapatite (HA) that is suspended in a gel for injection. Because HA is a normal constituent of our teeth and bones, it is readily accepted by the body. As a dermal filler, Radiesse is characterized by its better longevity. Although the approval for Radiesse as a dermal filler in Aesthetics is pending, it has been used for a long time in reconstructive facial surgery and orthopedics. Radiesse is FDA-approved as an injectable augmentation product for the vocal folds and has a good record of safety and success.

How is Radiesse® used?
Radiesse is commonly used for the laughing folds around the nose and the mouth (nasolabial creases and “Marionette” lines). Radiesse has proven to be a very versatile facial contouring product and has demonstrated durable augmentation in areas such as chin and cheek where a larger volume is required. It maintains a soft, natural feel and takes on the characteristics of the surrounding skin tissue

How long does Radiesse® last?
Lasting an average of 10 to 12 months, Radiesse has superior longevity in comparison to other dermal filler substances used today. Touch up treatments may be necessary to maintain desired correction.
